Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Marilynne Robinson will deliver an Yves Simon lecture entitled, “The Freedom of a Christian.”
Marilynne Robinson is the author of three highly acclaimed novels: Housekeeping, Gilead, and Home. Housekeeping was included in The New York Times Books of the Century and is listed as one of the 100 greatest novels of all time by the UK Guardian Observer. Gilead was awarded the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and Home received the 2009 Orange Prize for Fiction. She is also the author of The Death of Adam: Essays on Modern Thought and Absence of Mind: The Dispelling of Inwardness from the Modern Myth of the Self. She has written for Harper’s, The Paris Review, and The New York Times Book Review.
