An expanded roster of outstanding female voices presents a wide-ranging program of music heard in convents before the turn of the seventeenth century. The ensemble will lure listeners into the sound world of nuns across medieval and early modern Europe, with soaring chants by Hildegard von Bingen, scintillating early polyphony from the Codex Las Huelgas, and poignant motets by Sulpitia Cesis.
