The Lumen Christi Institute maintains a strong commitment to the academic and spiritual lives of students. In ways that complement their own degree programs, we offer credit and non-credit courses, seminars and other study and discussion groups to undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Chicago and area universities such as Notre Dame, DePaul, Loyola and Northwestern. For some programs, our faculty associates design and plan courses and seminars taught by various area scholars who have been invited by the Institute. On other occasions, the Institute arranges specialists to lead seminars on great texts or themes in the history of philosophy and theology. We also welcome and support courses designed and taught by the Institute's Visiting Fellows, in some instances for University credit.
