Thomas Levergood, Executive Director

Thomas Levergood received his BA in Political Science and an MA in General Studies in the Humanities at the University of Chicago. He taught American Literature at a high school in Paris and has done political work and research. After studies in languages and literature in Munich, Paris, and New York, he returned to the University of Chicago to pursue graduate studies in theology, politics, and literature in the Committee on Social Thought. Thomas Levergood is a co-founder of the Lumen Christi Institute.
Therese Junker, Director of Development

Therese is a native Chicagoan and the proud mother of her daughter, Cecilia. Before joining the Lumen Christi Institute, she worked in development at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Benefactor Relations for over six years. She is a graduate of the University of Dallas, where she received a BA in Political Philosophy and an MBA in Business Management.
Andrew Litschi, Assistant Director

Andrew Litschi joined the staff of the Lumen Christi Institute as Program Coordinator and Development Assistant in August of 2009. Litschi received a BA in Philosophy and Theology from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in Philosophy of Religion from Yale University. He is currently Assistant Director.
Ursula Pawlowski, Communications and Events
Ursula Pawlowski, a native of northwest Connecticut, received her BA in English Literature and History from the College of the Holy Cross in 2002, and her MA in Journalism with a concentration in Religion, Spirituality, and Ethics from Northwestern University in 2006. She currently coordinates communications efforts and events for the Lumen Christi Institute.
Mark Franzen, Staff Assistant

Mark grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and received a BA in Philosophy and Art from North Park University in Chicago. He is currently a graduate student in Philosophy of Religions at the University of Chicago Divinity School concentrating on 20th century European Philosophy. He enjoys cycling, cooking, and gardening with his wife, Lauren.
